ISS is one of the world's largest facility services providers, supplying organisations of all types, shapes and sizes with every facility solution they might require. ISS employs over 535,000 people worldwide. In the UK alone, its teams comprise over 45,000 staff.
ISS was relatively unknown in the trade, vertical and national press despite its size and coverage. It was important that the company raise the profile of its operation, focusing on the size, breadth and depth of its activities in the UK, in order to strengthen its brand image and make it more attractive to potential clients. They also had a desire for an exit and wanted to raise credibility with potential investors.
After an extensive search and selection process, Zoodikers was chosen to deliver strategic PR and an effective social media strategy, communicating and engaging with media and key stakeholders to strengthen ISS’ brand position.
Working together with the ISS comms and marketing team, ‘The Big FM Conversation’ event was developed. This was an event aimed at raising awareness of the UK’s youth unemployment epidemic and encouraging industry peers to pledge apprenticeship and work inspiration placements within the FM sector. Attended by CEOs, Trade Associations and Lord Aberdare, the success of this event provided excellent collaterals for use when lobbying the press, developing news stories and on social media.
Zoodikers also engaged in tenacious press lobbying, selling in topical issues and key messages. This resulted in winning opportunities to provide editorial and securing news release coverage.

- Following The Big FM Conversation, ISS and industry peers pledged 10,020 Apprenticeships and 11,192 Work Inspiration placements by 2015.
- Richard’s video blogs received a combined total of 3,994 page views.
